Homes Needed
We are always looking for new volunteers
1. Transport: All the dogs need to be transported from the pound to various places like our vets, foster homes or to other rescues. Typical journeys are Dunboyne to Naas to Carlow to Inistioge/Wexford or Dunboyne to Mullingar to Letirim. We also always need transporters in Dublin and its surrounding areas.
2. Foster: Dogs need to be fostered if they are waiting on their pet passport or if they need a little extra tlc before going to rescue or a new home. Typical length of foster would be about 2 weeks. All new foster homes must be homechecked beforehand.
3. Take pictures: Our volunteers go into the pound twice a week, typically on a Wednesday and on a Saturday morning to take pictures of the stray and surrendered dogs. These are posted on the PetsIreland website so other rescues can offer assistance.
If you think you can help then please get in touch with us via the Enquiries page on this site.
